The Russian pianist Olga Kern has managed to find her niche on the international classical music scene, since winning the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2001. Subsequently, playing with orchestras such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, and performing in prestigious venues, Olga Kern is becoming "a pianist on the way to the stars". Her performances are described as "shimmering, smooth, beautifully aggressive and of a breathtaking virtuosity akin to Horowitz", and never cease to move audiences.
